My Chevron Blanket Pattern (with Pictures) and Tips

* Using a "K" needle and Regular yarn, chain however long you want it.
* Between 175 and 250ish. (I always wing it)
* I want my Baby Blankie to have 5 High V's and my Regular one to have 7 High V's.   
​*  I just take out any extra chains I made if I go too lon

Written Pattern

Row 1:
1. Chain your desired amount
Row 2:
1. Start your first double crochet third chain from the right.
​    Then 1 dc in each of the next 12 chains.
2. Double crochet next 3 chains together
3. Double crochet next 3 chains together
4. Dc in each of the next 7 chains
5. Put 3 Dc's in the next chain
6. Put 3 Dc's in the next chain
7.  Dc in each of the next 7 chains
8. Repeat Instructions #3 to #8 until you get near the end of your chain, ending in the Lower V.
9. After your last Lower V on this row 2, DC in the last 10 chains.
10. Chain 3, and turn. 
Row 3- However many rows you want...
1. Put 2 Dcs into the first stitch.
2. Put a Dc in each of the next 9 stitches.
3. Add a second DC into that 9th Stitch.
4. Double crochet next 3 chains together
5. Double crochet next 3 chains together
4. Dc in each of the next 7 chains
5. Put 3 Dc's in the next chain
6. Put 3 Dc's in the next chain
7. Dc in each of the next 7 chains
8. Repeat Instructions #4 to #7 until you get near the end of your chain
9. Double crochet next 3 chains together
10.Double crochet next 3 chains together
11. Put 2 DC's in next stitch
12. Dc in remaining 7 stitches with 2 Dc's in the last stitch. (total 10 10 DC after the lower V)
13. Chain 3 Turn
